Short, because this site keeps almost nothing.
What we collect
The tee-time, function and contact forms send what you type straight to the club by email (info@hexgolf.co.za). The website keeps no copy. If the club's server cannot be reached, the form opens the same message in your own email app instead.
To stop abuse, the server counts how many messages arrive from each connection in an hour. It keeps a scrambled code, not your address, and deletes the count after two hours.
If you keep score on the course page, your round is saved in your own browser on your phone, and nowhere else. The club never sees it, and "New round" clears it.
What we use it for
The club uses your details to answer you and to confirm bookings. Membership applications are handled by the club under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Other services
The live weather (on the home page, the booking page and in the 3D course) comes from Open-Meteo, and directions open in Google Maps. Those services see a normal web request from your browser. The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies.
